Not to be too high brow about it, but they do represent a “lost work” of a comic book master. Miller killed him, but brought him back for several Sin City prequels. It was immediately successful, and remains one of the largest comic book publishers in North America. If the story will be serialized, add chapter breaks at appropriately suspenseful points. It would seem ironic that Bill Schanes, who had a hand in disassembling the original good ol' boy publication-and-distribution framework in the name of equal opportunity, ended up supervising the rise of a new corporate behemoth that today crowds out start-up competition.
