The initial response of the Pentecostal members of the NAE was to identify more with the separatist mindset of the NAE than the Pentecostal experience of some mainline church members. While that can be an aspect, it actually refers to the exercise of the charisms. Their cry was, “The Spirit! the Spirit!” but Luther replied, “I will not follow where their spirit leads.” They separated the Spirit from the Word, from Scripture. I cannot think of a more demonic theology than reformed theology that says God turned into a man, unbelievers are tortured forever and ever, and that people who have died are not dead, but are alive in a place called heaven.

Oneness pentecostals deny that the Bibles many references to Trinity are true, and use excuses that they themselves do not live by in other context (i.e. trinity not being mentioned in the Bible neither is the term incarnation, the term that refers to the Word becoming flesh, by the way) and with their lack of faith that Deuteronomy 6:4 denies that God can exist eternally in three Persons without being three gods. The graces which God gives to man may be divided into several categories.

The Spiritualist religion developed in large part within 19th century Christianity, and there are many Judeo-Christian Spiritualist churches and Spiritualist organizations in which Protestant doctrinal and liturgical beliefs and practices continue to play a strong part. For Pentecostals, prophetic utterances are fallible, i.e. subject to error. [56] Pentecostals teach that believers must discern whether the utterance has edifying value for themselves and the local church. [62] Because prophecies are subject to the judgement and discernment of other Christians, most Pentecostals teach that prophetic utterances should never be spoken in the first person (e.g. "I, the Lord") but always in the third person (e.g. "Thus saith the Lord" or "The Lord would have..."). [63] Pentecostals pray in tongues at an Assemblies of God church in Cancun, Mexico A Pentecostal believer in a spiritual experience may vocalize fluent, unintelligible utterances ( glossolalia ) or articulate a natural language previously unknown to them ( xenoglossy ).

Or has the church preached against it so much that few people believe anymore? After the first or perhaps the second century, there is no record of it in any orthodox source, and it is not recorded even among the great Fathers of the Egyptian Desert, who were so filled with the Spirit of God that they performed numerous astonishing miracles — even raising the dead. It should also be stated that many of these “small or local renewals or revivals” are either heretical sects (like the Montanists ) or a re-interpretation of the lives of some monks and nuns based on the current belief in the charismata (gifts).

The largest Christian church in the world is the Yoido Full Gospel Church in South Korea, a Pentecostal church. The apostle exclaims: "And I remembered the word of the Lord, how He said, 'John baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.' While these are the only passages that employ the specific terminology, "baptize with the Holy Spirit," there are other parts of Scripture that describe the same concept in different words; for example, "they were all filled with the Holy Spirit" (Acts 2:4; 7:55; 9:17), or "the Holy Spirit fell on all who heard the Word" (Acts 10:44-46), or "the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on the Gentiles" (Acts 10:45), or "the Holy Spirit came on them" (Acts 19:6).

As Serrano's comments underlined, religious issues had played a significant role in the campaign. Considering all that I have said thus far, especially concerning the ulterior motives of the liberal prelates and their virtual hijacking of Vatican II, I think Scripture has an answer as to why God would allow these "ambiguities" to occur. If occurring outside of Catholicism the miracle could never be construed as confirming an erroneous religion or truth, but only confirm the truth of the Catholic Faith unmistakably.

The idea that the gospel—God's Great News for Humanity—is merely or mostly about saving select individuals from the torment of an otherworldly hell when they die degrades and defiles this teaching. ‘The gospel of Jesus Christ' is infinitely more real and more inspiring than fire insurance. The Book of Mormon, reads, "And again I speak unto you who deny the revelations of God, and say that they are done away, that there are no revelations, no prophecies, nor gifts, nor healing, nor speaking with tongues, and the interpretation of tongues; Behold I say unto you, he that denieth these things knoweth not the gospel of Christ; yea, he has not read the scriptures; if so, he does not understand them" (Mormon 9:7-8): "On January 21, 1836, Joseph Smith received the revelation which is recorded as section 137 in our Doctrine and Covenants.
